A New Collective Intelligence Friend

I have made a new friend recently, Jean-François Noubel, who talks about collective intelligence with great insight on his bloggy wiki The Transitioner. He is a beautiful being, as well as a creative genius in this work. I'm delighted and so lucky to have met him. With him, a few days ago, I had my third conversation using Skype. So remarkable, talking between France and Oregon (U.S.) on an internet phone line, comfy crystal clear, for over a hour, and totally free. If you have friends or associates in foreign lands, consider Skype.

Dystopias as Collective Intelligence

My friend Kenoli Oleari introduced me to Neil Postman's fascinating comparison of Orwell's and Huxley's dystopias.

I like to think that through dialogue and deliberation we could navigate between them, co-creating something decent, meaningful and sustainable together, not sliding over either precipice. I like to think that in a wise democracy, thoughtful prophetic fiction like Orwell's and Huxley's would be a useful warning, part of the society's collectively intelligent capacity to reflect into the future..
